About The Goundry

When you’re at uni studying to be a teacher, you get stuffed full of theory — pedagogy this, curriculum that — but only a tiny taste of actual, practical ideas. Then you hit the classroom and it’s go-go-go. You’re learning from colleagues, wrangling behaviours, juggling differentiation, and before you know it, you’ve taught the same lesson structure three times in a row because your brain’s too fried to think of something new.

That’s where The Goundry comes in.
It’s not a stash of worksheets or a magic fix — it’s a hub of ideas. A place to spark your thinking when you need to mix it up, keep your lessons interesting, and remind yourself of the dozens of ways you could teach something.

Think of it as your ever-evolving idea bank:

Teaching is one of the fastest-moving jobs out there. The Goundry is here to throw you fresh ideas so you don’t just keep your head above water — you (and your students) actually enjoy the swim.

Cheeky disclaimer: The Goundry was dreamed up in Queensland by a high school Business and Humanities teacher, so you might notice a little bias in the early resources. But the goal is to keep growing, building, and branching out — so no matter what you teach, you’ll find ideas here to elevate your lessons. And honestly, I’d love to hear from you — if you’ve got suggestions, ideas, or gems from your own classroom, send them through and help keep The Goundry evolving.
